Oh why i hate holidays!

It's the first day of school after 2 weeks of break(which felt like 2 seconds! ah maybe not that short! i'm exaggerating!!)
2 weeks is shorter than i thought!

as always, i planned ahead IN MY HEAD what i'll be doing before the break even started.

obviously, i'll be going out, because it's GSS!!
and yeah of course the 4 projects, so meetings..
i'm going to study everything that had been taught in school too!
and i'll be jogging/swimming everyday to improve my fitness!

tell me, how awesome am i?

and again as ALWAYS...
i spent my time doing brainless things!
and i can feel that i'm getting heavier!

oh well, i guess this is just me, i'm in a better state during school term.

and oh, i've just reached home from school.
reaching home at this hour doesnt seem late to me.

On monday, instead of taking train, i walked home from BUGIS!

On tuesday, i alighted at little india and walked home!
i walked past this Indian with a HUGE chopper.
he was cutting Thai coconuts!
LOVE IT!
sweeeeeeeeeet and cold!

exploring little india was fun!
however i realised some of the things are insanely overpriced..
all in all, i love taking different routes home!!!

school work is piling up, common tests are drawing near, projects due dates are close..

BUT I FEEL SOOOO CAREFREE!!!!

WOW, i slept in the morning and woke up 6 hours later, feeling so tired, but happy.
my class is at 1, but i woke up so early...
i was awakened by the noise outside.
guess i won't force myself to go back to sleep, the sunlight filled my entire room (i forgot to shut the curtains tight last night!!!)
and i didn't dream of anything.. which is good
(lately i've been having weird dreams again)

reading HELENA's blog is comforting, i realise she writes quite often about me, and it cheers me up!!! THANK YOU HEL!!!

i would like to apologise for the post i wrote dated 10 may.
after some thinking, i agree it is unacceptable even though i was merely calling myself silly.
so i'm trying to write better now!
i just turned 18 anyway, time to be an adult!

i've been feeling miserable this period of time, figuring things out.. reminiscing the silly moments my friends and i shared a few years ago..
it feels like a turning point now, so i guess i'm a little lost?

i chose this title after watching Ok Go's "A Million Ways"

and of course i've always regarded myself as being really silly.

i just came back from the airport to send my mum off
OH YES it's MOTHER'S DAY and no, we didn't do anything!!!
i came back with my mum last december and she's been staying here all this while, preparing for the new house.
now that she's left, it feels different.
i'm not used to it.

school has been draggy and miserable for me..
but i still look forward to lunch breaks..
i try to find reasons to be happy...
it's hard
we assumed we'll be happy and having fun...
turns out it's not at all.
am i walking under a bunch of thick dark clouds?
really miss those crazy days!!!
even though all we did was geog, hist, phy, chem, math, chinese, english...

and it's been raining so much at night!!!
i'm always awakened by the thunder and the raindrops on the glass.
in the morning, the balcony of the 1st floor houses gets flooded.

WHAT'S HAPPENING ALL THIS WHILE???

we have moved to the new place from the run down condo. i'm so glad!!!
i love the house, love my room (though i think it looks a little too PRINCESSY for my liking but what the heck, it's the most purply cute-looking room i have ever seen) thanks to my sis for her help!!!!

i visited the gym here for the first time. of course it's way better than that old run down place!!! but air-con's a little too cold for a gym... i was freezing when i perspire, that's not good at all!!! i haven't tried the pool though, it's longer, 50 metres in fact, but shallow, only 1.2metres.

the move this time is the worst!!! it's the most tiring, most time consuming.. everything!!!! we made trips to choose the most stylist but cheapest furniture, leaving home in the morning and coming back at midnight. I'm glad we did not buy too many furniture from IKEA, assembling them is a chore!!! tightening the screws and all, my sis and i had sore palms!!!!!

checking for defects in the house, choose the paint, lights, furniture delivery, assembling furniture and finally moving in the things!!!! it was a long process!!! i admit i did not help much, but i assembled 2 side tables, 2 chest of drawers, a TV bench, 3 working tables with my sis!! That's quite a lot yeah??? HAHHAHA

moving from a bigger to a smaller house made us realise how much junk we kept!!!! the day when we moved, the living room was filled with BOXES, BOXES, BOXES, BAGS, BAGS, BAGS!!!!!

ever since, i've been suffering from backache, it doesn't seem to be getting any better!!!!!!

i figured i have to send in my 12 choices by today.
deadline is tomorrow, what happens if there's a sudden rush of users accessing the website?

with the JAE booklet in front of my sis' laptop, i followed the steps in the booklet as i logged on.
i knew the procedure, but this, to me, is like life and death, i had to be exceptionally careful and precise without spending more than 10 minutes on each page or it will automatically log me out which again means death.
if i had said all those, i would be catching my breath now.

my fingers were trembling, again because if i accidentally submitted the wrong choice, means death. but oh i just remembered, i could make amendments.
how many times have i typed 'death' anyway?
i'm relieved i've made the decision for the 12 choices and decided i had to submit it.
i just hate making decisions, i'm an indecisive person to start with.
with the 12 choices submitted, table of course catalogues cleared, computer cables folded neatly, my table is clean again.

i can now go back to laptop and furniture hunting.

i'm getting so impatient!!!
oh by the way, collection of keys to my new house is not that simple.
we have to make an appointment.

we talked a lot, we ate a lot, but i enjoyed it.

but i forgot she has good stamina, unlike me.

and of course the upcoming prom at the run-down hotel.

it's hard to find, i know, but isn't a a pair of blue heels the coolest of the whole outfit?
at least, i think so.
when i see people, i can't help but look at their shoes and get excited of how unique or cute they look.
sometimes, i wonder why they don't give a damn and just slip in a pair of rubber clogs-look-alike, YES, i'm talking about CROCS. i'm surprised my mum said she's an owner of one. AHHHH!!! but she wears it to the market to protect her feet from the crowd.

actually it's the house i'm most looking forward to. what colour shall my room be? shall i have a theme? what colour will the walls be?!! AHHHH.. i can't stop thinking and i can't wait to shop for the furniture!!!

i'm 70% sure i heard it

it's the 2nd time this month.

this time i didn't watch my way.

this is for rushing back to class and stepping on the puny little drain.

my sis says i'm clumsy.

i have to wear my ankle brace for 3 weeks
no PE for a week
i have to skip napfa on friday, can i just lie that my ankle has not recovered even if it has next week? then i'll just skip the 5 items altogether? i don't like napfa because of standing broad jump, wonder when i'll ever get higher than bronze. blame it on my short legs?

it just took a split second to sprain my ankle, but it takes 3 weeks to heal?

the doc explained that my dizziness was due to the shock of the fall, that's why i recovered, unlike a concussion.

that's a relief, i was terrified why everything i saw became SOLARISED and GREEN

it feels like Saturday, and i still have an off day before the hectic school week starts again.

the weekend flew past just like ZOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

i have not done enough work.

i feel so pathetic, depressed.

24 hours a day is not enough!!!

6 hours of sleep
2 hours nap due to lack of sleep
1 hour for meals (breakfast and dinner, lunch is in school)
0.5 hour for bathing (twice)
0.5 hours for stretching
1 hour on the road (from home to school and from school to home)
9 hours in school
TOTAL= 20 hours

thats 4 hours left for studying..

but i don't always study in the 4 hours you see....

ok, so i know why i don't have enough time these days.

i thought the clock was playing a prank on me

i think i should write the amount of time i spent doing every single thing everyday to remind me how much time i've been wasting.

resorting to such a measure is the only way out now.

i need to consider the time i wasted day dreaming also!

for the next hour, i really followed what he told me. Actually the footwork is rather similar to tennis, but i totally forgot the techniques, so i'm as good as one who needs "IDIOT's GUIDE TO SQUASH/TENNIS"

i returned the key before heading home.

SC: "so, did you enjoy your game?"

Calv.in.a:"yea, thanks so much, i feel better now. i don't know how to play squash, i tried it myself"

thanks for the "smart girl", i seldom hear that now, not that i wanna hear it, but i felt so happy even though it's usually used to praise little girls to encourage them.

being a security guard here is boring and hard work
they're assigned to a lot of things, from the gym+squash court+table tennis room keys to calling the elevator mechanics, and of course taking down the plate numbers of visitors' cars.

i forgot to tell him he should become a COACH instead.

i had a dream AGAIN

i dreamt that there was an eartjquake while i was half asleep.

it felt so real!!!

the bed was shaking and i could feel everything shaking.

BUT HEY, this is weird.

i could not call out to my sis or move!!!!

how can the earthquake get so strong? it's SINGAPORE!!!

i guess it must be round 9.0 if it comes from Indonesia or China? not likely..

so i forced myself to get up.

i had a super duper wierd dream AGAIN last night!!!!

i was walking with my primary school crush (it was monkey years ago) (at i don't know where..)

he wanted to move few parked buses, i have no friggin' idea why

he was caught between two buses and he fell, broke his legs and arms!!!

he was sent to the hospital while i stayed behind to look for his legs and arms beneath the buses.

shortly after, i found his body parts and brought them to the hospital so that the doctors can assemble him.

what a sadistic dream.

2 nights ago, i had a weird dream.

i realise i always have weird dreams..

1. i dreamt i was shot on my back but the blood only ooze out from the front

2. i dreamt my brother's friend's girlfriend died in a costume that exploded because she refused to take it off (she wanted to die with him, how DRAMATIC, yes it is) after she witnessed my brother's friend died in a car accident (he was driving a light blue Volkswagen beetle, yeah i know, cute car!!! but gay colour.. teehee)

3. i dreamt i was shot many times during a chase but i didn't die

4. i dreamt of souls.

there were 3 colours of souls, yellow, red and black souls

i was a yellow soul, literally yellow (with a red ribbon on my head)

yellow souls can turn to red and eventually black.

i was very afraid i would become black.

black is the most evil, "dark" and morbid soul

i woke up with a shock, gasping.
it was really scary, but at the same time, makes no friggin' sense.

then i realised it's somehow similar to BLEACH.

HAHAHAHA

there's an episode showing how hollows turn to gillian and finally adjuchas.

my sis and i share a library of shoes

because she started it, she owns most of them.

i was looking through the possible pairs that could match my outfit today when i opened a nest of ants!!!! GROSS!!!!

that's when i just remembered i was the last person to wear that pair!!!

oh my!! did my feet stink that much that day?

so this evening, i checked every box for any other possible nests when suddenly, a head popped out

i explained to her what i was doing

My Sis' Wool Sweater Shrunk

One fine morning, Catherine was sitting in front of her wardrobe just like she always does. She scratched her head cluelessly, not knowing what to wear to school that day. It was rather cold, so she decided to wear something warm. She flipped the pile of clothes and pulled out a PURPLE sweater.

She was horrified!! "AHHHHH!!!! How could this happen to me?!" Oh no, apparently her sweater had shrunk!!! Look how small it is now, compared to that normal size polo tee. It had shrunk to Jessica's size!!!!

What really happened?

The tag says:
Hand wash max 30 C
Ironing max 150 C
Dry cleaning
Do not machine dry
Wash with mild soap
Do not soak
Dry flat

Sometimes it happens to us all, in a careless moment we throw our brand new Aran sweater

Luckily I have a contact with some inside knowledge on this matter so I asked my friend Mark Shenton owner of www.woolovers.com if there was a way to un-shrink a wool sweater, he started laughing even before I could finish my question.

Well people, today’s your lucky day, I have used the information this Shenton character gave me and I have now mastered the black art of wool un-shrinking and am here to share it with you.

Here we go….
When wool gets wet and warm, the fibres in the wool lock themselves together and don't want to let go, resulting in shrinkage (you can get wool warm or wet, but not both), which kind of makes washing wool garments a dangerous business.
To un-shrink the wool, soak the garment in warm water with a mild wool friendly soap for about 10 minutes. This unlocks the fibres in the wool. Then lay the garment out on some towels in a cool place. Stretch the garment out to its original dimensions. The stretching pulls the unlocked wool fibres away from each other. Once this is done relax and allow your wool garment to dry. The absence of heat from the drying process allows the wool fibres to set in place without locking together and shrinking the garment again.

That it, long story short: you will have a good as brand new, fully functional sweater again. in the washing machine or dryer, shrinking them down about eight sizes and rendering it un-wearable to all but our children’s action man or Barbie Doll.

this is the second time this year

the last time i tripped, fell and grazed my knee

this time i slid, fell and grazed my knees!!!

oh no, not the playground, it's the treadmill!!

oh yes, laugh your heart out, anybody who hates me would probably be happy.

eh, that kinda rhyme.. hehehe

i was planning to go for a swim when i fell on the rough pavement that day.

i was again thinking of going for a quick swim tomorrow when slid off the treadmill and grazed both knees and elbows today.

lesson learnt: never plan to go swimming again.

i don't like bathing now, my knees are just too painful, getting my wounds wet will feel like thousands of needles poking.

or maybe i don't need to bathe, save water anyway right?

i thought the cashier guy was making fun of me.

i didnt realised i didnt get what i ordered until i got the drink, walk hundreds of metres away, took a sip, puzzled with the bitter coffee sweet caramel taste, walk back to confirm my order, stare at the receipt and walk away again, still puzzled and frustrated.

i find today depressing.

first, we had SS timed assignment which almost made my hand break

second, there was LEGACY. we had to write down our 3 strengths, 3 weaknesses, 3 resolutions.
i thought it was so boring, so i tried to make it as not boring as possible. this is the best i could do.

i felt more depressed after tuition, simply because i think matrices is GROSS.
yes, MATRICES is gross. i hate it. i call things i hate GROSS today.
i'm feeling a little quirky too.

lastly, the ultimate depressing event took place. i went to the little shop to buy 17 after tuition.
